I started Fresh Start in college with an old truck and a storage unit, flipping couches to pay for school. Before long I was moving so many that I had to choose between school and the business. I chose the business.
Selling hundreds of couches taught me something about how furniture gets sold. Most of what people pay for isn't the couch. It's the giant showroom, the salespeople on commission, the middlemen, and the months of waiting for it to show up.
So I built the opposite. We buy brand new, high quality modular sectionals direct from the people who make them, keep them in stock here in Springfield, and show them by private appointment. No salespeople, no markup for a showroom you'll never see again, no waiting. You sit on it, you love it, and it's set up in your living room within 3 days.
That's the whole idea. A couch you'll love for years, without the parts of buying one that nobody likes.
