Welcome to the Fresh Start Furniture Store

The adult chair and footrest to the right are handcrafted by students in our educational and workforce-development program for out-of-school at risk males ages 16-19. The furniture is made of Western Red Cedar. Students learn hands-on carpentry training and put their skills to use by producing the furniture. They also work on their academics to obtain  their GED. Our students make each of these products and sell them through our student-run business. All proceeds go back into the student accounts and each student receives their share upon graduation. Please take time to browse through our site and investigate our products and history. Ordering an item makes a difference for a young person.

All products are made to order and stained. They can be picked up at our Baltimore location or shipped with an additional shipping fee and minimal assembly.
