How to Enroll
Prospective students must be:
• Male
• Between the ages of 16-19
• Out of school and interested in obtaining their GED
• Not employed Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm
• Able to make a commitment
• Interested in setting and meeting goals
• Interested in making positive changes
• Interested in obtaining full-time employment and continuing their education
Referral Process:
For youth on probation with the Maryland State Department of Juvenile Services:
Call the assigned probation officer and ask them to staff the case for Fresh Start. A referral packet will then be sent to Fresh Start and the program will schedule an interview upon review of the packet.
For youth NOT on probation with the Maryland State Department of Juvenile Services:
Call Assistant Director, Cheryl Riviere at 410-522-2492 for more information and to schedule an appointment.
Two interviews are required before a youth can be considered for admission. Applying to Fresh Start does not guarantee admission. In Baltimore, Fresh Start is located at 802 S. Caroline Street and 901 N. Milton Avenue. The location a student will attend will be determined during the interview process.
